ENTERTAINMENT & CULTURE

Music

A visit to West Clare is your opportunity to experience and enjoy traditional Irish music, song and dance. The O'Curry Irish Language College, which attracts hundreds of young Gaelic scholars each summer, is in nearby Carrigaholt.

Local Pubs
There are four public bars within a two-mile radius, two of which also have full menus each evening. All are family run, and are highly recommended for a bite to eat, a pint of Guinness and a chat. On various nights during the holiday season, music and song can be heard at local venues.

Oyster & Guinness Festival
Carrigaholt hosts the Oyster & Guinness Festival on the May Bank Holiday Weekend (first Monday in May) each year, and the village also holds a family festival in August.
